Doesn’t time just fly by, how is it 2019 already? Sitebee will be 8 years old in a few months. 2018 was a tricky year for me. I had plans to start regular monthly blogging on here. Having work commitment, conducting freelance tasks and juggling an infant has taken a tool on my free time. The blogging has taken a backseat, such a shame though, the tutorials and guides planned would have been of some benefit to the webmaster and SEO communities. Oh well, sure I can pull it around this year.
Towards the end of last year, I was overstretching myself a little, especially immediately after the house move. Now that the house move is complete, I no longer need to work my ass off day and night. The work / life balance that I last wrote about has slowly started to normalise.
As for all the SEO strategies posted online. Most of them fail to mention one of the key component’s ‘time’. You can have many sure-fire ideas for promoting websites, but if you don’t have the time to put those ideas into fruition your facing an upwards battle. My plan for attracting links last year (2018) was to publish useful guides and tutorials for the webmaster and search communities.
I have the time, knowledge and experience for promoting other people’s websites and businesses but when it comes to my own website, I struggle to allocate the time. That’s partly down to I suppose taking all the additional work and hours I could get. This year will be different, I’m going to schedule more time in for investing in myself and writing those ideas for posts that I have running around in my head. Back to the point of this post, well didn’t have one in mind. I just wanted to put some thoughts on paper.
